Sergey,
I had never heard Russian music either before I went there to live in St. Petersburg. However, I now listen to almost nothing else. Please feel free to wander through my video/mp3 files and you will hear all kinds of great Russian music. If you like, check my comments as I usually add links to YouTube videos of the same thing. Russia has some of the greatest music, you're in for a treat.
